Jessica malatesta
SPA OWNER
Jessica is a licensed cosmetologist with over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry. She is a Certified Hair Loss Practitioner, Associate Trichologist, and is proudly certified in the art of Yume Head Spa. Jessica graduated from Jean Madeline Aveda Institute in 2005 and was employed by Urban Decay Cosmetics for 15 years. She had the pleasure of teaching make-up artistry across the country and connecting with viewers as the on-air presenter for QVC. Jessica had the privilege of working for Gwen Stefani as the Vice President of Social Selling for GXVE Beauty, while running Ms. Stefani’s private beauty community. In 2023, Jessica decided to follow her passion for pampering others and created Heavenly Head Spa which provides a unique spa experience, unrivaled in relaxation, scalp care, and wellness. She strives to create a beautiful, tranquil, and positive environment where every guest feels welcome, comfortable, and pampered at the highest level. Heavenly Head Spa has been featured on Fox29 and in Philly Mag, as the premier head spa of Delaware County. Jessica is also the brand ambassador for Shark Beauty, where she can frequently be found presenting the brand's products on QVC! Jessica puts her heart and soul into each head spa treatment and feels a deep gratitude for every guest that she has the pleasure of working on. Outside of Heavenly Head Spa, she enjoys spending time with her family, entertaining at their home, vacationing to sunny destinations, and volunteering her time at children’s theater programs.

Laura is the lead head spa technician at Heavenly Head Spa. She joined the Heavenly team in September 2024 after graduating from the Cortiva Institute aesthetics program and earned her aesthetics license in Pennsylvania. Laura has continued her head spa education through Natulique live training courses, garnering a thorough understanding of scalp health and product knowledge. Laura enjoys providing head spa services to her clients because she feels it’s a deeper pampering experience that fully encompasses the mind, body, and soul. She has a calming demeanor and loves connecting with clients every day. Laura also enjoys cooking, trying new recipes, exploring new restaurants, going to the beach, and has a love for health and wellness.

Isabelle graduated from the Cortiva Institute Aesthetics program and earned her licensure in PA. She joined the Heavenly Team in February 2025 after completing an extensive head spa training program at Heavenly Head Spa. She is a strong believer in all things self-care and found her true calling in the beauty/wellness industry. Her passion lies in creating an environment that allows clients to disconnect from everyday stressors, allowing them to leave feeling refreshed and renewed. Isabelle also enjoys spending time at the beach, reading a good rom-com book, baking, and taking yoga classes.

Jenna joined the Heavenly team in early 2025 as a head spa technician after working at a salon on the Main line for several years. Jenna graduated from Venus Beauty Academy and earned her cosmetology license in PA in 2021. Jenna made the switch from being a hairstylist and spray tan artist to head spa because she enjoys genuinely taking her time with her clients, helping them to relax and unwind from everyday stressors. Jenna has a passion for helping clients achieve their healthiest scalp and hair. In her free time, Jenna enjoys spending time with family & her dog, Linc, going to the Jersey shore and attending concerts.
Jessica Salvey Malatesta
Heavenly Head Spa was founded and created based on the desire for a specialty wellness service in Delaware County and the surrounding area, that truly made you feel relaxed, renewed and loved. I felt there was a void in the industry of a service that delivered effective results but also provided a deeply nourishing experience for your body, mind and soul.
I searched far and wide at spas across the country for a service that encompassed everything I wanted to experience in one singular spa experience yet never felt fully satisfied. It just felt like something was missing. Humans have an innate need for soothing, physical touch, reminiscent of how your mom would play with your hair, softly stroke your face, or gently scratch your back. I also felt that the best part of going to the salon was when someone else would wash your hair. It didn’t seem right that you may only enjoy those few moments of bliss a couple times per year. I knew I could create this experience and so the journey began.
After 20 years in the beauty industry, I knew that head spa had been an ancient practice in Asia for hundreds of years and wished there was something similar in our area. As head spa started to grace my social media feed and new establishments were popping up on the west coast and in faraway US cities, I was compelled to bring my dream to reality. With extremely limited resources and no guide or roadmap, I embarked on my new journey. My mission was to create and deliver the most authentic, luxurious experience that I poured my heart into, not just a copy and paste of the “viral TikTok head spa trends.” For me, this wasn’t a trend.
My goal was to master and provide one thing only: Head Spa! I wanted to fully immerse myself in the fundamentals of scalp health, so I began my studies in Trichology to gain a deep understanding of scalp issues, hair loss, and treatments. I traveled to find the best authentic Yume Head Spa training and most natural, efficacious products. After a year of intensive research, training, experimenting and trial and error, Heavenly Head Spa was born.
Today, Heavenly Head Spa has grown from a small retreat in the basement of a salon to a private 3000 square foot wellness oasis in the heart of Delaware County with an incredible staff of talented and caring head spa professionals.
